Technical Designer
Part/Full Time, 1 year contract, hybrid role in Pasig, Metro Manila, Philippines
YOU ARE
Based in the Pasig, Metro Manila area & able to WFH, plus commute to our office when required (usually not much more than once p/week, to pick up samples, for fittings, etc.)
Have previous experience in a technical role in fashion
Thorough
Accurate
Detail oriented
Organized
Ok with occasional internal team meetings on video conference call
Most important of all are your communication and listening skills!
SKILLS
Advanced CAD flat sketching skills
Expert at creating tech packs
Brilliant at writing a thorough measurement spec
Excellent understanding of garment construction and sewing
Knowledge of QC and good workmanship in sewn garments
Experience working with factories and suppliers
Ability to closely follow complex instructions
RESPONSIBILITIES
Creating and checking CAD sketches and tech packs
Writing POM descriptions and measurement specs
Measuring garments
Fitting and grading
Matching colors and lab dips to PANTONE numbers
Writing construction and sewing instructions
Evaluating sewn samples against the tech pack and writing sample and fit comments
THE POSITION
1 year contract (you’ll be an integral part of our team for the year!)
Flexible working hours, work whenever you want, Monday-Friday
Salary $700-1300 USD p/m depending on experience.
Pro-rated salary, 20-40 hrs/week (open to discussing full time or part time based on your preference)
13th month bonus (up to 1 months pay)
20 paid vacation days (after 6 months), plus Philippine holidays.
Starting with a paid 8-week trial so we can both see if we work well together.
